On July 3, 2023 The Old School’s Rambunctious Kids were asked if they’d be part of the Fourth Of July Parade in Green Lake.  Of course they said yes, and that’s when they started construction on what would become known as The Action Contraption!

The entire idea of reopening The Little Red Schoolhouse… renaming it The Old School, all began while drinking beer on a snowmobiling trip, so why not somehow combine the two… Snowmobiles and School somehow dwarfed into Snowmobiles on a Teeter Totter pulled by a tractor that’s school bus yellow! 

The Action Contraption has since   attended many parades and is always a crowd favorite. You’ll surely know that it’s The Action Contraption is coming, as you can hear the Bell ringing long before you can see it! 

An interesting and unique part of The Action Contraption is the Bell…it’s the actual Bell that in 1871, rang in the Cupula of Bush Hill School, long before it was The Old School!
